1. What is ccAlert™?


The ccAlert™ solution is a mass notification tool focused on providing a convenient and private way for individuals to communicate with others within a group through a single message, regardless of their communication channel.

2. What are the key features of the service?

The key features of the ccAlert™ platform are:

  • Privacy. The privacy of the individual remains intact as no contact information (e.g., mobile phone number, email address) is revealed
  • Convenience. A single text message can be sent to multiple individuals
  • Personalization. Individuals can create directory listings (aliases) that are appropriate for them, whether personal, professional or private in nature
  • Group creation. Simple, self-provisioning platform allows individual to create community and sub-community groups
  • Multiple devices. A single message can be sent to all devices of an individual, including fixed line phones, mobile phones and email addresses.

3. What are the costs to the service?

The ccAlert™ platform is generally provided based on a one-time upfront setup payment and a monthly fee per group, which is derived on the number of members within a group. (for more information, contact sales@ccAlert.net)

4. What is the role of advertising?

Often the cost associated with communication services is a barrier for many individuals. The company is exploring a free option to individuals to send messages to others, specifically to their mobile devices and email addresses in the near future. Advertisements provide us a way to subsidize our cost to develop and maintain the service. Specific ads will appear throughout the ccAlert website as well as within the messages that are sent by each group.

Groups can select the types of ads that are appropriate for them. The advertising model provides a sustainable business model for us, while allowing individuals to utilize the communication service for a discounted price.

5. How does the ccAlert™ platform stop spam and misuse?

While no service is ever immune to misuse, the ccAlert™ platform is focused on the privacy of the individual. The ccAlert™ service has a number of built-in privacy features:

  • Each community is protected through a password based sign-in page
  • Users can designate whether their listing is private (or public) in nature, which would only be accessible by individuals within the same private community
  • With each message, no contact information of the individual is revealed – personal details are not given out, even within a private community
  • The service provides individuals the ability to create contextual names or alias, without revealing their actual name
  • In situations where people have given/lost their identity, individuals can change their alias names without having to change their contact information.

6. Will you share my phone number with businesses or telemarketers?

Absolutely not! We do not share your information with anyone, including the individuals you’re trying to reach.

7. I can’t seem to get my messages sent out?

If you are having difficulties sending out messages, logout of the service and log back in. If difficulties continue, please contact support@ccAlert.net

8. Can I get the service for my community or group?

The ccAlert™ platform is available as a white-labeled service to organizations or groups, allowing them to provide a value-added service to its members. These organizations also benefit through an additional revenue source generated by advertisements.
